In the new era of educational and knowledge-enhancing trips, students from various schools and colleges in the city of Indore have been given the opportunity to visit the Dainik Bhaskar Printing Plant. As part of this initiative, 80 students from The Niranjana School visited the printing plant accompanied by their esteemed faculty members.
The entire process of printing and publishing a newspaper was explained to the students, who gained first-hand experience with the printing machines. They observed closely how ink and paper come together to produce a fully printed newspaper. An audio-visual presentation of the same process was also shown. After the demonstration, plant officials conducted a question-and-answer session to address all the queries from the students.
An edition of the newspaper was printed in front of the students, featuring an image of the group. They were thrilled to see their photograph printed in the newspaper. The students were also briefed on the process of writing and editing news articles for each new edition of the daily newspaper. Additionally, they learned how the printing process is halted when significant news arrives late at night, allowing it to be included in the next day’s edition.
The trip played a vital role in providing the students with practical exposure to the field of mass media and communication, emphasising the importance of the democratic dissemination of news and information among the masses.
