The nation’s 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour and patriotism at The Niranjana School on 15th August 2024. The day commenced with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony. The entire school assembly, resonating with patriotic zeal, sang the National Anthem with pride and reverence.
The spirit of discipline and unity was exemplified in the impressive march-past by the students, who showcased their synchronized steps and impeccable drill. The event further unfolded with a captivating judo demonstration, leaving the audience spellbound by the students’ agility and strength. A serene yoga demonstration followed, promoting physical and mental well-being while instilling a sense of harmony.
The cultural extravaganza commenced with a vibrant Western dance performance by Class IX, which enthralled the spectators with its energetic choreography and infectious rhythm. An eloquent speech by Maitreyee Tiwari of Class IX ignited patriotic fervour, inspiring everyone to cherish the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom. The smooth flow of the programme was ensured by the commendable anchoring of the student hosts, Rishna Patel of Class VII and Kanak Nair of Class VI. The grand finale was a mesmerising classical dance performance by Class VIII that showcased the rich cultural heritage of India.
The entire event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on both students and staff. It instilled a deep sense of patriotism and national pride, fostering a spirit of unity and togetherness. The programme concluded with the distribution of ice cream to the students and staff present.
