One stage brought together two very different challenges: bringing classical poetry to life and debating from changing perspectives.

Five students from The Niranjana School participated in LITFEST 2026, conducted by NDPS School on 16 July 2026 under the theme “The Classical & The Critical”, a celebration of literature, dramatic expression and critical thinking.

Poetry in Action – Grades 9–12

  • Maitreyee Tiwari of Grade 11
  • Pranjal Sharma of Grade 11
  • Shreevidya Udupi of Grade 10
  • Anaya Sharma of Grade 9

The team interpreted classical English poetry through performance, using expression, voice modulation and creativity to bring the verses from the page to the stage.

Turncoat Debate – Grades 9–12

  • Dakshita Jain of Grade 9

Taking on the turncoat format, Dakshita had to switch perspectives and respond spontaneously, putting her analytical thinking and ability to see an argument from different sides into practice.

From interpreting literature to thinking on their feet, LITFEST gave our students two distinct ways to explore the power of words and ideas.
